This morning should allow some great fishing, with the overcast skies and lighter breezes. This afternoon will be a different story. Storms are expected right around the evening hatch time. These storms are expected to be strong, even severe with quite a bit of rainfall. The reports of big fish being caught all throughout the TMA have been flooding in over the weekend.

River Report
River Flow 578 CFS - Visibility is clear. AM Water Temp 60°F. - A slight chance of showers, then a chance of showers and thunderstorms after 1pm. Some storms could be severe, with damaging winds and heavy rain. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 82°. South wind 10 to 14 mph. Chance of precipitation is 40%. Tonight's storms will bump the river up, but it should get back in shape by the weekend.

Start off your day fishing yellow stones or rubber legs with a caddis pupae dropper. Alder pupae and Iso Nymphs are also very active in the riffles. The fish have been more than willing to strike often. Then in the afternoon and evenings start looking to dries. Caddis', Cahill's, Sparse Alders, Iso's & March Brown's are all effective patterns right up to dark. The Streamer bite is still on. Fish John's Lion Bugger, G's Gotcha, Circus Peanuts,  Zonkers, Woolly Buggers, Pick Yur' Pocket, Conehead Muddlers and tie into some nice Rainbows. Smallmouths are also on the prowl in the TMA. Stop in the shop to Stock up on Streamers & Stone Fly Nymphs. The afternoon will see caddis hatching, then as the evening progresses the Cahill hatch is what the trout are feeding on like crazy! Smallies too!

We like the following patterns: March Brown Sparkle Duns, March Brown Spider, Light Cahill, Adams, BWOs (cloudy days), Green Caddis pupae and emergers, Circus Peanuts, Zonkers, Woolly Buggers, Pick Yur' Pocket,  Hares Ear (12-16), BH Princes (10-16), BH Pheasant Tails (12-18), Rubber Legs (all colors), 20 Incher's (8-16) & Euro Bead Head Princes. Don't forget to try a San Juan or Yellow Stone Mop Fly, too. We recommend a drop rig for maximum effectiveness and use an indicator to make sure you don't miss any takes. Try the AirLock indicators if you haven't already. They are the best!
