Light and variable wind becoming west 6 to 11 mph in the morning.- Overcast with a chance of rain is the beginning of a perfect a BWO day. - With the weather conditions we have today BWO's should hatch most of the day. -  It's also time to begin fishing Egg Patterns as trout are starting to get in the spawning mode.-  Search the water in the morning by swinging streamers to find the most aggressive fish. - If you don't get any takes on streamers then switch over to egg or nymph patterns and fish the water more closely. - Come on up this weekend to Cornwall Bridge and enjoy a beautiful October day catching Big Rainbows on the Housy !! - At this time of year it's best to get on the river a little later in the morning. - This gives the sun a chance to warm up the river a couple degrees. - The fish will become more active in the slightly warmer water.  - We are seeing some October Caddis. -  HOUSY Trout are putting on the fall feed bag !!

BWO's showing mid-morning thru the afternoon. - BWO CDC Emergers are the ticket for picky risers. - An effective day time technique is to swing soft hackles to sipping rises. - This is a perfect way to imitate swimming crippled BWO nymphs. - October Caddis in the late afternoon. - Also try nymphing deep during the day with a two fly rig.- On your two fly nymph rig start with a BH Prince and add an Egg Pattern as the second fly.-  Swing streamers for Trout behind exposed boulders in all the deeper riffles & pools. - Streamer fishing is a great way to cover water and to find fish. - Go back and deep nymph over any river section that produced takes on streamers.
