Welcome to our room with a view - The Lloyd Charosky Memorial Bench is now open to the public

In place at site #15 facing the river.

We focus our attention

From the time a few local people who love the Housatonic , founded the Rainbow Club, we have focused on just two things:

• Making the river the cleanest and most productive it can be
• Stocking (twice yearly) trouphy size Rainbows from Cornwall to Kent

 

WE STOCK THEM BIG

 

We work with state agencies, CL&P;, local groups and other clubs to get added and coordinated help and support.

We're Making a Real Difference

Our stream clean-ups have returned miles of the river to clean, natural beauty, free of trash. You can see the difference!

Our stocking of trouphy Rainbows and our active involvement with state agencies and others has helped to make The Housatonic an exciting place to fish. You can see the difference!

Some of our Activities:

• Our club stream site cleanup, usually before the season opens
• Our opening day hospitality wagon with coffee and donuts for all
• Participation in the "Source to Sound" cleanup, usually in the Fall
• A fall stocking of trophy Rainbow trout from Cornwall to Kent
• Meetings at Housatonic Meadows or nearby St. Bridgit's in bad weather.
• Newsletters to keep members informed of activities
• Programs under consideration include the purchase of stream site acreage, creating local fish breeding beds
